Enquiries via the trip planner
When you complete the trip planner we process the details you provide (type of journey, dates, group size, length, interests, budget range, name, email address and optionally your phone number and message) in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a route proposal.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Cookies and consent
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only embedded third-party service is Google Maps — and it only loads once you explicitly click “Load map” on a map (two-click solution). Before that click, no connection to Google is made. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
Map services (after your click)
After your click, the overview map on the home page loads map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (openstreetmap.org, UK); your IP address is transmitted in the process. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
When you load a map, it is served by Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA); your IP address and device-related data are transmitted to Google. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We remember your choice exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage, no cookie, nothing transmitted to us).
Hosting and fonts
The website is operated by a provider with servers in the EU. Fonts are served locally; no connection to Google Fonts takes place. When you visit, technically necessary server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested resource) are processed for a maximum of seven days.
Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can withdraw consent for maps at any time — directly on any map (“Hide map”) or here:
