Sahara tours & 4×4 desert trips in Morocco
From two days in camp to a tour over the High Atlas. Private, from two people, with drivers who know the tracks.
A desert tour in Morocco is not an excursion — it is a drive through three landscapes in one day. The way almost always starts in Marrakech or Taroudant, climbs over the Tizi-n-Tichka at 2,260 metres, drops into the Draa valley and ends where the road stops: at M'hamid El Ghizlane, the gate to the Sahara.
From there it is around ninety minutes off-road to the dunes of Erg Chegaga — forty kilometres of sand, up to three hundred metres high, with no phone signal and no engine noise.
All Sahara tours are private. Only your group travels, and the camps belong to families we have worked with for years.
