You answer seven short questions in the trip planner or write to us directly. Abdoul usually replies the same day, at the latest the next working day, with a route proposal including days, accommodation and price. We keep adjusting it until it fits — free of charge and without obligation.

For the main season from October to April, two to three months' lead time is comfortable, because the good camps and riads fill up early. Shorter notice often works too — just ask and we will tell you honestly what is still available.

From two people, and only your own group travels. The price per person drops noticeably the more of you there are — the tiers are shown on every route.

Yes — every route on this site is a suggestion, not a fixed package. Days can be added, dropped or swapped, and two routes can be combined. Tell us what you have in mind.

Fixed tents with proper beds, blankets, shower and toilet — not a bedroll on the ground. Power comes from solar, usually enough for light and charging. There is no phone signal at Erg Chegaga, and for most guests that turns out to be the best part.

It depends on the route and is stated with each one. Marrakech to M'hamid is around nine hours of pure driving, spread over two days with stops at Tizi-n-Tichka, Aït Ben Haddou and in the Draa valley. If you want less driving, start further south.

Planning and all correspondence are in German or English. On the ground the drivers speak French, Arabic and usually English; a German-speaking guide can be arranged on request — just say so when you enquire.
