Trekking in Morocco
On foot through stone and sand desert, accompanied by dromedaries and a nomad team.
Trekking in the Sahara means five to six hours of walking a day, split into two stages with a long lunch break in the shade of a tamarisk. The dromedaries carry the luggage; riding is possible but optional.
You are led by a nomad team Abdoul has known for years — with their own cook, their own tents and the experience of knowing where water is and where it is not. You sleep in small tents with mattresses and blankets, and usually the last night in the desert camp with a shower.
The short version runs four days from M'hamid. The grand trek connects Marrakech, the High Atlas, three days of desert and two days on the Atlantic coast over ten days.
