Day by day

Day 1
M'hamid → desert camp
At the meeting point in M'hamid you are picked up by guide and driver and taken around two hours off-road into the dunes. Tea and a freshly cooked dinner await you at camp. After that: campfire, an hour of camel riding into the sunset, or sandboarding.

Day 2
Camp-Erg-Chegaga
After a delicious breakfast, your camels will be waiting for you, ready to take you on a unique journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Sahara. Sometimes energising, sometimes calming and restorative, the day unfolds at the natural rhythm of the desert. During our walks through the golden dunes, you can leave everyday life behind, slow down, and reconnect with your own rhythm. Whether exploring the desert on foot or riding gently through the dunes on a camel, every step and every moment offers a new perspective and a deeper connection with the vastness and beauty of the Sahara. In the evening, we return to the camp and let the day come to a peaceful end around the campfire. As the flames light up the night, the sounds of traditional drums fill the clear desert air. Beneath the vast, star-filled sky, you can relax, enjoy the moment, and experience the magic of the Sahara.

Day 3
Camp-Erg-chegaga-Nomade
On this day, a very special experience awaits you: we will visit a nomadic family in their home and gain an authentic insight into their daily life and traditional way of living. We will receive a warm welcome from the family and take time for personal encounters, interesting conversations, and a meaningful exchange. Along the way, we will learn more about their culture, traditions, and life in the desert. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover something new, experience a different way of life, and meet the people of the Sahara on a personal level. A day filled with warm hospitality, fascinating encounters, and unforgettable impressions – a special experience that will stay with you for a long time to come.

Erg-chegaga-Mhamid
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the Sahara with a heartfelt “Beslama” and make our way back to M’Hamid.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to M'hamid?

By bus, shared taxi or rental car. It is around nine hours from Marrakech and four from Ouarzazate. We can arrange the transfer on request.

Is there power and signal at camp?

Power for lighting yes, mobile signal usually not. That is rather the point.
