Day by day
  1. Day 1

    Taroudant → Ouarzazate

Straight from your riad, the jeep takes you from Taroudant through the saffron region of Taliouine and the carpet town of Taznakht to Ouarzazate. If you like, visit the World Heritage site of Aït Ben Haddou — or simply relax at the riad.

NightRiad in Ouarzazate · dinner included
  2. Day 2

    Ouarzazate → Sahara

After breakfast, on through the picturesque Draa valley. The desert begins beyond Zagora — stone desert as far as M'hamid, the gate to the great Sahara. From there around ninety minutes off-road into the dunes of Erg Chegaga.

NightDesert camp · first of two nights
  3. Day 3

    Sahara

Glowing sand, silence and space. A full day in the dunes: camel riding if you like, a visit to a nomad family or an oasis, sandboarding — or simply the quiet.

    NightDesert camp · second night
  4. Day 4

    Sahara → Taroudant

After breakfast your driver takes you back to your riad in Taroudant, past Lac Iriki — a vast dried-out salt lake — and a fossil hill. Stops for drinks and lunch along the way.
